Calvin Klein and The Swatch Group hosted a special invitational dinner at the Fine Art Museum in Basel during the Baselworld fair, earlier this year. During the evening, the brand’s 2014 collections were unveiled with the iconic Bold and Body for women watches standing out as this season’s hero collections. The Joyous jewellery set also proved a key set for the season, presenting two pendant necklaces, a bracelet and a pair of delicate earrings featuring a timeless heart shape.
Another exciting unveil came during the evening when Calvin Klein announced their partnership with IED (Istituto Europeo di Design) to host a watch and jewellery design competition. The competition encourages students from North America, Europe and Asia to present watch and jewellery designs incorporating their interpretation of the Calvin Klein watches and jewellery brand. The entries will be judged by a panel that includes the creative directors of Calvin Klein’s shoes and accessories, Chiara Ferragni – founder of the blog, The Blonde Salad – Hanneli Mustaparta – a contributor to Calvin Klein’s social media platforms – and Nicole Warne, creative director of the blog, Gary Pepper Girl – all of whom were in attendance on the night.
The winners will receive a cash prize and the first place from each continent will also have their work displayed at Baselworld 2015.
